Description
La Gloria Cubana was established in 1885 and, after changing hands a few times over the years, production was transferred to the Partagas factory in 1954. This is an arrangement that continues to this day. The Turquinos is named after Pico Turquino, Cuba’s highest mountain and part of the famous Sierra Maestra mountain range in the southeast of the island.
Once famous for its range of predominantly slim vitolas, the Medaille d’Or No. 4 and the Turquinos are the only two cigars in the current La Gloria Cubana portfolio. However, the fact that La Gloria Cubana has been selected to create Regional Editions no less than seventeen times by distributors around the world is testament to the brand’s lasting appeal.
This cigar is a classic Gordito size, measuring 5 ½” (141mm) x 52 ring gauge. Note: these are now shipping in plain packaging.
