The story of Luciano Cigars begins with passion: for people, creativity, and the extraordinary flavor found in carefully crafted premium cigars. Originally a nonprofit, what would become Luciano Cigars began as an initiative to provide fair wage jobs in the community of Estelí, Nicaragua, manufacturing for other premium cigar brands. After falling in love with the process of cigar-making and its people, and building a respectable reputation as manufacturers, they decided to embark on a new journey launching Ace Prime Cigars in 2019.

The past three-years have been extraordinary for their brands, especially Luciano Cigars, in more ways than anyone imagined. At its inception, Ace Prime had partnered with Crowned Heads forming an alliance that proved to be an essential steppingstone during years of unprecedented growth. Today they see Luciano Cigars as the next phase for our company, now as an independent and fully vertical operation.

From growing and sourcing the best tobacco, to blending and producing award winning cigars,  Luciano Cigars centralizes their operations under one name after building a respectable reputation over the years. The company is the brainchild of two individuals,  Luciano Meirelles and Tiago Splitter.

Luciano Meirelles is the CEO and after more than a decade in the industry, Luciano now directs Luciano Cigars, a fully vertically-integrated company from seed to smoke. The co-founder and namesake of the company leads with passion for premium cigars and the people who make them. Having built his career as a highly successful serial entrepreneur and political consultant, Luciano’s name brings a commitment to working only at the highest standard of excellence. A cigar maker in every sense, Luciano now dedicates his life to the creativity, perseverance, and priceless principles that define the journey of blending an extraordinary cigar.

Tiago Splitter, Co-Founder, is best known as the first Brazilian-born player to ever win an NBA championship in 2014 with the San Antonio Spurs. After retiring from the Spurs, Tiago focused on his career as an assistant coach for the Brooklyn Nets and as a co-founder of Luciano Cigars. As a highly talented individual on and off the court, Tiago is the embodiment of grit, passion, and a commitment to always elevating the values that matter most.
