Cigar of the Week: Oliva Serie O Double Robusto Maduro
These handmade Nicaraguans are a maduro lover’s dream. Serie O Maduro is a Nicaraguan Puro, made in the original Cuban tradition by growing the same Habano seed in diverse regions of the country to produce a distinct blend. This blend was achieved by growing Habano in Esteli, Condega and Jalapa Valley.
This cigar’s vital statistics are 5×54. The cigar exhibits notes of dark tobacco with spice and rich cedar. The construction includes a wrapper of Connecticut Broadleaf, a binder of Nicaraguan Habano Leaf and Nicaraguan Habano filler. The exterior of the cigar is visually pleasing due to the dark, lustrous wrapper. Oliva recommends that this cigar should be aged at generous humidity levels (70-78%) to preserve the natural oil.
