Description
Alec Bradley Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole
The Alec Bradley Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole is a limited seasonal release produced each year in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. Known for its distinctive appearance, the cigar features a spiralled barber pole wrapper combining candela and Honduran Habano leaf, creating the signature green-and-brown presentation that has made the Filthy Hooligan series a favourite among collectors and enthusiasts alike.
Candela wrappers were once widely used in cigars but are now relatively uncommon in modern production. Their bright green colour is achieved through a heat-curing process that preserves chlorophyll in the leaf. In the Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole, the candela wrapper is paired with a Honduran Habano wrapper, offering a unique visual style and a balanced smoking experience.
The cigar is handcrafted in Honduras using a Honduran binder and a blend of Honduran and Panamanian filler tobaccos. The barber pole construction allows the two wrappers to burn together throughout the smoke, contributing to the cigar’s distinctive character.
Released annually in limited quantities, the Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole has become a seasonal tradition for many cigar smokers and a distinctive addition to the humidor each spring.
