The Cohiba 55 Aniversario Limited Edition 2021 marks a milestone in the grand history of the Cohiba brand and honours the iconic Habanos portfolio. Each cigar is expertly rolled with the finest tobacco leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region, then finished with a classic characteristic of the Cohiba line: a pigtail. Each Cohiba 55 cigar features carefully selected tobacco and additional aging which is fitting for this Limited Edition release.

With a size of 150 mm x 57 ring gauge, and the “Victoria” vitola (seen within Cohiba for the very first time), the 55th Anniversary Cohiba release is a cigar that will captivate the interest and palette of aficionados. About the Cohiba Brand

Regarded as the epitome of luxury and prestige within the Habanos portfolio as well as throughout the world of premium cigars, Cohiba celebrated its 55th Anniversary in 2021. Born in 1966 as the brainchild of Fidel Castro and his trusty advisor Eduardo Rivera, Cohiba was initially only gifted to heads of state. However, the brand has grown to become Habanos’ flagship brand. The name “Cohiba” was suggested by Celia Sanchez and originates from the ancient inhabitants of Cuba. The loose translation is:  “the roll of tobacco leaves when lit and smoked”. Clearly, this is a name that is absolutely fitting of this emblematic brand.

Housed at the iconic El Laguito Factory, the first Cuban cigar factory to employ predominantly female cigar rollers, Cohiba is the Cuban brand that most accurately reflects the passion and love of tobacco that occurs during the cigar making process. The strategic innovations planned to carry the Cohiba brand throughout the years have sparked agricultural, industrial, marketing and distribution restructuring within the Habanos cigar production processes; these adjustments have since spread and been additionally implemented across other brands.
