Description
Don Jaime Partagás created the Partagás brand in Cuba in 1845, and he constructed the majestic Partagás cigar factory as a proud symbol of his brand, which later was run by Ramón Cifuentes until he lost it to nationalization. The Partagas factory, located behind the Capitol in Havana, is one of Cuba’s top tourist attractions. Cuba’s Partagás brand is large and includes the best-selling handmade cigar from Cuba, the robusto-sized Serie D No. 4.
Partagas cigars are instantly recognizable by their deep and earthy flavours, and the Partagas Serie D No. 4 is a flawless example. With all the sweet cedar aromas it produces, just smelling the wrapper is an experience. The Partagas Serie D No. 4 is all about the smoothness; there are no instant tangs from pepper or spice as it’s the aftertaste that counts. With a blend of nuts and roasted-coffee, the Serie D No. 4 provides a flavourful and complex smoke. Note: these are now shipping in plain packaging.

John Martin (verified owner) –
This was my New Year 2023 cigar. The draw was slightly tighter than typical non-Cubans. It was beautifully made and behaved itself throughout. One minor thing is that I didn’t pick up on the vaunted “flavourful and complex smoke”, hence only 4 stars (but that’s just my palate).
This one, bought last January, had its proper band and was $14 below the current price so I shouldn’t really complain.
