Join us for the inaugural Durham Festival of Spirits

The first-ever Durham Festival of Spirits will be held on Sunday September 8th from
1-5pm at Parkwood Estate in Oshawa. Participants will have the opportunity to try
several different varieties of Scotch, rum, vodka, gin and wine (both red and white).
Beverage sampling will be held under the guidance of experts from Charton-Hobbs
and Gordon-McPhail, two of the world’s foremost specialty spirit and Scotch suppliers.
There will also be the opportunity to order select wines and spirits not available
at the LCBO.
An array of hors d’ouevres will be provided, including an assortment of hot and
cold selections with vegetarian choices. Oshawa’s Victory Cigars will host a cigar
bar next to the Arbour and there will be a demonstration of the art of cigar rolling
by a Master Roller. Cigars will also be available for purchase (they are not included
in the ticket price).
About Parkwood Estate
A spectacular location, Parkwood Estate is a Canadian National Historic Site and
has been the set for movies and television series including The Kennedys, Billy
Madison, Chicago and Bomb Girls. Formerly the home of R.S. McLaughlin, Parkwood
provides visitors with the chance to experience the opulence of the Roaring 20’s.
You will also be able to stroll through the gardens and experience the grandeur

Parkwood Estate is located just north of downtown Oshawa, next to Lakeridge Health.

Purchasing Tickets
Tickets on sale now at Victory Cigars. Advance ticket sales only.
The ticket price is $99.00 plus HST. Victory Cigars accepts cash, debit, and all
major credit cards, plus PayPal for telephone orders. If you are out of town and
would like to purchase tickets, call 1-855-443-0194 during Victory Cigars’ regular
business hours. Please note that tickets for this event are limited and will be
sold on a first-come basis.

A Cuban master roller will provide a demonstration of the art of cigar rolling under
the Arbour at Parkwood Estate. Cigars will also be available for purchase at the
event.
Parking
There is no parking onsite at Parkwood Estate. However, the grounds are a 5 minute
walk from downtown Oshawa, which has free parking on Sundays. As well, O’Neill
Collegiate is immediately across the street from Parkwood Estate and there is lots
of parking behind the school. We recommend you consider using Keys to Us or one
of the local taxicab companies instead of driving to the event.
