New Products
As you know, we endeavour to find new products on a regular basis; we have a couple of things that you may find of interest! First, we now have a stock of lighters, cutters and leather goods by Colibri. Colibri has been a household name since 1928, when it first started crafting elegant semi-automatic lighters. Starting from a tiny workshop, the company grew into a global brand with a full lifestyle offering including crafted jewelry, leather goods, pens and smoking accessories. Colibri was built by a dynasty of inventors who pushed technology to its limits while keeping their focus firmly on design and usability. Today Colibri continues this dedication to craftsmanship with the highest quality materials, serving a new generation of users from all over the world. Come and see our beautiful new display.
We’ve also added some new cigars: Inch by EP Carillo, the Chisel by Lito Gomez, and Avo Uvezian’s 25th Anniversary Cigar. This latter stick can be purchased singly or in a beautiful baby grand piano box that is signed by Avo himself. Lastly, the latest edition of Cigar Aficionado featuring Ernie Els is now available.
Cigar of the Week: Bolivar Royal Corona
Did you know that this cigar was #1 in Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 Cigars of 2006? Royal Corona production is small: nearly all are produced at the H. Upmann factory in Cuba. Many smokers feel this cigar epitomizes the production from the golden age of Cuban cigar production; we concur.
From the moment you see this cigar you sense you’re in for a treat; this is a thick, visually appealing Cuban cigar. The likeness of Simon Bolivar peers regally from the band, and the construction is flawless. Upon lighting the cigar you immediately smell the thick, heady, woodsy aroma of Cuban cigar tobacco. This is a cigar that makes memories; if you have a special bottle of port or scotch, this is the cigar to choose for the pairing. The dimensions are 4 7/8 inches long by 50 ring gauge, and the cigar lasts about an hour.
There are times where you have a chance to sample something truly magnificent for a reasonable price; this is one of those times. The feature price for the Bolivar Royal Corona is $19.99 all week long.
Cigar of the Month November 2012: Montana Azul Nicaraguan Panatela Bundle
These Nicaraguan panatelas are affectionately known as “dog walkers” by many of our clients. The panatelas are 4.5” long with a 30 ring gauge (about the diameter of a thick pencil), making them a quick smoke. This is helpful for those days when you want to enjoy a cigar but find that the weather is not cooperating. These panatelas can be finished in the time it takes you to walk your best friend, hence the nickname. The tobacco is all-Nicaraguan and each stick is finished with a nice maduro wrapper. The flavour profile is medium.
We wanted to bring you something nice for November because it’s our anniversary on the 20th; this panatela bundle fits the bill. This stick comes from the same people that supply the Summer of 69 bundles so you can be sure the bundle is of good quality. The feature price for the bundle of 25 panatelas is $29.99 for the month of November.
