There is a host of new products now at Victory Cigars. They include Dunhill and Davidoff Cigarettes; Shisha Charcoal; Don Kiki Cigars (corona or toro); Peterson Pipe tobaccos (Special 2012 Reserve or Summertime 2012); Samuel Gawith Skiff Mixture or Grousemoor; and a fresh shipment of McChrystal’s English snuff. We also have the latest edition of Smoke Magazine with Luis Tiant on the cover.
We are awaiting a shipment of the Summer of 69 cigar bundles and will notify you as soon as they arrive. Also, small format Cuban cigars, like the Montecristo or Romeo y Julieta Clubs are still not being shipped from Cuba; we hope this situation resolves itself soon.
Cigar of the Week: Don Tomas – All Varieties
It’s rare to encounter a price reduction in the cigar industry but we are happy to let you know that Scandinavian Tobacco Group, the suppliers of Don Tomas cigars, has dropped the prices on all Don Tomas cigars … and we’re passing the reduction along to you. These savings are substantial; for example, the Sun Grown Gigante, formerly $12.99, is now $8.99. All inventory has been immediately reduced – Sun Grown, Habano, Maduro – the lot! Cigar of the Month
European Cigar Journal ranked Oliva as the Nicaraguan Brand of the Year in 2009. This is the company that has finished in the Top 25 Cigars of the Year four times in the past five years. So if you have not smoked an Oliva cigar, now is your chance. The Cigar of the Month is the Oliva Serie V Belicoso, a cigar that should definitely be on your summer smoking list. This is Oliva’s flagship cigar (and rumour has it that the company will soon be rolling a version of this in Miami, helping to resurrect Florida’s cigar industry). Serie V is a complex blend of Nicaraguan long filler tobaccos, blended with specially fermented Jalapa Valley ligero, and finished with a high priming Habano Sun Grown Wrapper. This cigar is blended to deliver full body taste while maintaining an unparalleled smoothness. This blend exhibits complex tobacco flavours with rich coffee and dark chocolate tones. A subtle and well-balanced spice is present throughout. The Serie V is full-bodied and the price of this feature is $12.99.
