From the hands of master cigar maker Roberto P. Duran (Azan, Neya) comes a medium lineup called Baracoa. Roberto P. Duran Cigars is named for its owner and founder, Roberto Pelayo Duran. Originally from Cuba, Roberto started out as a cigar production supervisor in that country. He then went on to assemble and manage all Cuban cigar brands for The Pacific Cigar Company, Ltd. He has also served as consultant to British American Tobacco working on their global brand strategy.
The Roberto P. Duran Baracoa was created as a great everyday cigar. The RD Baracoa pays tribute to the city of Baracoa in Cuba, home to the Duran family.
The blend has been carefully balanced to perfection by the team of tobacco experts at the Nicatabaco factory in Esteli resulting in a very enjoyable medium to strong and progressive flavour experience that you won’t forget. I’m new to cigars and have smoked only ten or so different sticks. This one was by far the nicest. Smooth and steady flavour through all three thirds. Much more satisfying than some of the mild cigars I’ve tried. Cocoa notes and some cedar hints and light pepper. Well built, great value and recommended to other beginners.
