Successfully launched at the XII edition of the Habanos Festival in Havana, Cuba in February 2010, the Cohiba Behike line is made up by three sizes: 52, 54 and 56. Cohiba Behike is produced each year with the best Cuban tobacco coming from San Juan y Martínez  (D.O. P, Protected Denomination of Origin) and San Luis  (D.O.P) inside the Vuelta Abajo Region  (D.O.P). Production is extremely limited and occurs in the prestigious “El Laguito” factory.

The Behike blend Is special due to the use of “Medio Tiempo”, a leaf that gives the cigar exceptional character and flavour. Also denominated Fortaleza 4, the Medio Tiempo is very scarce: only the top two leaves of the sun-grown tobacco plant are Medio Tiempo. To ensure sufficient availability of Medio Tiempo to be used in regular production, the Cuban cigar industry depends on the dedication of the farmers in Pinar del Rio. They provide the care and attention necessary to grow these leaves, paying attention to the seed, soil and water whilst considering the climatic conditions as well. Cohiba Behike is the ultimate expression of the taste and aroma of the Habano. The Behike 52 was named Cigar Aficionado’s Cigar of the Year for 2010. The cigar achieved a rating of 97 points, making it one of the highest scoring cigars in the last century.
