New This Week: Te-Amo Revolution
This cigar features a unique pressed ovoid shape which allows the cigar to sit comfortably in your hand while smoking. The blend is rich, flavourful and full-bodied offering a complex taste and aroma profile. This results in a very balanced and satisfying smoke that is perfect for those who like full flavour cigars. This cigar is new to Canada and will be debuting in the store on Tuesday November 5th. Hey, Tuesday is election day in the US; what better way to celebrate than by having a Revolution?
Cigar of the Week: Montecristo No. 4
Montecristo is probably the world’s best known and most appreciated brand of Habanos; in fact, the Montecristo No. 4 is the world’s best selling Cuban cigar. It is a 30- to 60-minute smoke and is generally considered an excellent starting point for those new to Cuban cigars. As winter approaches we start to migrate to smaller ring gauges; the No. 4 is 5 x 42, making it a good choice for a winter cigar. All Montecristo sizes are “totalmente a mano, tripa larga” —totally hand-made, long filler.
Founded in 1935, the name Montecristo comes from the hero of Alexandre Dumas’ famous novel, “The Count of Monte Cristo”, a favourite among the Torcedores (Cigar Makers) at the factory in Havana. The range originally consisted of a narrow assortment strictly numbered from 1 to 5; today it covers every level of the cigar enthusiast’s needs from the majestic Montecristo A to the tiny Joyita. The Montecristo No. 4 was the preferred cigar of revolutionary leader Ernesto “Che” Guevara.
Montecristo’s perfectly balanced blend is created exclusively with selected leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region, home of the finest tobaccos in the world. Its distinctive flavour and distinguished aroma appeal equally to both new and experienced smokers. Many Montecristo smokers notice an earthy undertone with tangy chocolate and coffee notes; consequently, Montecristo is often referred to as having a “peppery” finish. The flavour ranking is medium- to full-bodied. You can come to Victory Cigars and try this week’s feature cigar for $15.29.

Cigar of the Month November 2012: Montana Azul Nicaraguan Panatela Bundle
These Nicaraguan panatelas are affectionately known as “dog walkers” by many of our clients. The panatelas are 4.5” long with a 30 ring gauge (about the diameter of a thick pencil), making them a quick smoke. This is helpful for those days when you want to enjoy a cigar but find that the weather is not cooperating. These panatelas can be finished in the time it takes you to walk your best friend, hence the nickname. The tobacco is all-Nicaraguan and each stick is finished with a nice maduro wrapper. The flavour profile is medium.
We wanted to bring you something nice for November because it’s our anniversary on the 20th; this panatela bundle fits the bill. This stick comes from the same people that supply the Summer of 69 bundles so you can be sure the bundle is of good quality. The feature price for the bundle of 25 panatelas is $29.99 for the month of November.
